We support the Building Community Power project, a partnership between Swiilawiid and the Haida Gwaii Museum that will result in a major art exhibition and production of a series of mini-documentaries about renewable energy and just transition in the Haida Gwaii community. The purpose is to facilitate a creative space and dialogue on what energy sovereignty means in relation to Indigenous sovereignty. It will include all artistic expressions, and a series of public programs held over the course of the exhibition which will allow for an artistic and creative critical inquiry into their energy history, present, and future.
