Audiovisual Training
For decades, we have been partnering with Indigenous communities, both urban and rural, to collaborate on hands-on media trainings, including documentary production, video post-production, audio production, and audiovisual storytelling in many formats.
Tailored to the Needs of the Community
We facilitate community media trainings, individual long-term apprenticeships and long-distance guidance to create spaces and provide resources for producing, preserving & distributing media created by and for Native communities.
Community Audiovisual Trainings
We work with communities: from rural tribes seeking to record their language to intertribal urban youth seeking to recover their foodways traditions. Generally, we work with groups of 5-20 people, often intergenerational, with all levels of experience and many areas of interest.
Apprenticeships
We work with individuals: young and upcoming audio and video producers who wish to learn from professionals who have indigenous lifeways as the foundation of indigenous media. Our apprenticeship program is still nascent and forming, being born in collaboration with communities and individuals who seek to form long-term professional development.
Long-distance Guidance
We are available to guide communities through audiovisual production, both on-site and from a distance. We do this through one-on-one consultation, webinars, and other online resources.
